What is NATA?

NATA stands for National Association of Testing Authorities and is a government-endorsed organization responsible for the accreditation of laboratories, inspection bodies, calibration services, and other testing entities. They operate under the guidance and regulation of international standards and specific national bodies.Their primary role is to assess and ensure that testing and calibration laboratories meet certain defined criteria of competence and quality. They conduct thorough evaluations and inspections to ascertain that these entities are performing their activities accurately, reliably, and in compliance with established standards. When a laboratory or testing facility is accredited by NATA, it provides assurance to customers and stakeholders that the testing or calibration services provided by that facility are of high quality, accurate, and meet the required standards.‍
