Trainee Soil Technician

Duties that a Trainee Soil Technician is expected to carry out may include but are not limited to those listed below. Duties may be extended or changed depending on laboratory conditions or workloads.
  • Carry out lab and field testing in accordance with Australian and Main Roads Standards
  • Data entry/calculation of test results
  • Be helpful and respectful to clients
  • Ensure daily equipment checks are carried out
  • Comply to any licensing requirements (State/Federal)
  • Adhere to the company’s human resources policy manual
  • Work in a safe manner as per the company’s OH&S procedures
  • Comply to the Laboratory Quality & Laboratory Procedures Manual
  • Carry out work in a way that reflects the best interests of the company
  • To be on time and to carry out duties as directed by senior staff

Qualifications

Qualifications listed are a guideline and an expected minimum but others may be required throughout the course of the training:

  • Hold a white Card/willing to obtain (Construction Card)
  • Manual Drivers Licence (Current)
