Driller/offsider

Soiltech is looking for a geotechnical driller to carry out Site Investigations on residential, commercial and mining projects around South East Queensland and be based from our Toowoomba office Monday – Friday with some weekend work when required.

Requirements:

White card.
Pass a pre-employment medical with a drug and alcohol test.
Sound mechanical aptitude.
Competently display knowledge of equipment and drilling techniques.
Previous experience in residential , commercial site investigations as per AS2870
Must be able to provide copies of certificates and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out Pre-Start checks on rig and equipment.
Compliance and duty of care in accordance with OH&S standards and documentation.
Perform daily routine tasks with minimal supervision/instruction.
Perform tasks and procedures in accordance safe work practices.
Set up drilling rig and equipment as required.
Undertake residential site investigations to AS2870 on a daily basis
Carry out SPT testing / tube sampling on commercial and mining projects when required

Approved Gas/Oil 4WD Course
RISA Standard 11 Induction - Surface
